Clare Sports Partnership (CSP), in collaboration with Ballyvaughan / Fanore Walking Club and Mountaineering Ireland, is thrilled to announce the 2026 Clare Summit Steps Hillwalking Programme!
This eight-week programme is designed to help you build confidence walking in higher terrains while enjoying the beautiful landscapes of Clare and surrounding areas.
8 weekend walks (Sundays) – Participants are encouraged to attend all sessions for the full experience. The programme concludes on 22nd March
2 Hill Skills Days – Learn essential navigation and hillwalking skills with a Mountaineering Ireland instructor (21st February & 8th March 2026).
Skill Development – Improve your confidence on higher terrains under the guidance of club leaders and qualified instructors.

This programme is subsidised by Clare Sports Partnership. This will include entry to the Summit Step programme, your annual membership of the Ballyvaughan Fanore Walking Club, and your Mountaineering Ireland insurance, so participants pay only €50 (usually €100)!
