Community Activity Leaders Course Expression of Interest

We are now accepting expressions of interest for this course by filling out the form below. Applications will close on Wednesday, February 11th. Spaces are limited, so please apply soon. Successful applicants will be notified before February 16th, with the course due to start in early March.

The Community Activity Leaders Course is a free, inclusive 12-week programme designed for anyone in the local community who wants to make a positive difference through sport, physical activity, and recreation. No previous experience or leadership role is needed — all you need is an interest in helping your community and learning new skills.

The course runs once a week for 3–4 hours per session in Kilrush Town. Participants will take part in a range of workshops including first aid and safeguarding, disability awareness, fundamental movement skills, practical coaching, warm-ups and cool-downs, and session planning.

By the end of the programme, learners will have the confidence, practical skills, and knowledge to support community activities, work with local clubs, and help make their community more active and inclusive. It can also be a stepping stone towards further education, training, or volunteering opportunities in the sporting world.
