St. Enda’s National School, Lisdoonvarna, recently completed a highly successful six-week Couch to 5K programme, which ran from Friday, 17th April to Thursday, 28th May. The programme involved all classes throughout the school and focused on developing the fundamental skills and movements involved in running.

Over the six weeks, students participated in a variety of activities including running drills, relay races, and fun running games, all designed to build confidence, fitness, and enjoyment of physical activity. The main aim of the programme was to prepare every student to take part in the school’s Fun Run, held on 28th May.

The programme culminated in a fantastic community event, with an incredible 168 participants taking part in the Fun Run on the night. It was wonderful to see students, families, and members of the local community coming together to celebrate the achievements of all involved.

Congratulations to all the students for their enthusiasm and commitment throughout the programme and thank you to all teachers and everyone who supported including Clare Sports Partnership student staff member Dan in helping to make the programme such a great success!
