Working together to create more opportunities to be active across County Clare!

At Clare Sports Partnership, we are proud to work alongside Clare County Council to make sport and physical activity more accessible for everyone.

A fantastic example of this collaboration is the new free-to-use Sports Equipment Lockers at Tim Smythe Park and John O’Sullivan Park, Lees Road. Thanks to funding from the Participation Nation Fund through Sport Ireland, these lockers remove barriers to participation by allowing people to borrow sports equipment free of charge and enjoy our public spaces.

This is just one of a number of exciting projects delivered through our successful Participation Nation Fund application, including:

  • Outdoor Gym – Ballyvaughan
  • EZ Dock System (inclusive kayak launcher) – Scarriff Harbour
  • Play Equipment for the MUGA – Kilrush
  • Pétanque Courts – Tim Smythe
  • Teqball Tables – Tim Smythe
  • Sports Equipment Lockers – Tim Smythe Park and John O’Sullivan Park, Lees Road
  • Kayak Storage Unit – Sixmilebridge
  • Basketball & Football Net Unit – Parteen

These capital sporting projects are helping to create more inclusive, accessible and welcoming spaces where people of all ages and abilities can enjoy being active in their own communities.

A huge thank you to Sport Ireland for its continued investment through the Participation Nation Fund and to Clare County Council for its ongoing partnership in delivering initiatives that enhance the sporting and physical activity opportunities available across County Clare.

Together, we’re building healthier, more active communities—one project at a time!
