Clare Sports Partnership and Clare County Council are delighted to deliver a range of cycling events to the people of Co. Clare for Bike Week 2026 from May 9th to May 17th.

Friday, May 8th
Ebike Cycle, Carrigaholt – Join us for a scenic guided e-bike spin along one of Clare’s most breathtaking coastal routes! 10am – 1pm. Register HERE.

Saturday, May 9th
Ebike Spoke Tours – The west Clare peninsula is best enjoyed by E bike. Beginning in Kilkee at 11am. Approximately 65km. Please email nolanmaryb56@gmail.com to register your place.
Sunday, May 10th
Rolling with Pride Social Cycle – We are thrilled to team up with Quare Clare to host a relaxed and inclusive social cycle in the Doolin area. This event is designed as a welcoming space for LGBTQ+ participants. Register HERE
Cycle to School – Clare Sports Partnership encourages all primary school children to cycle to school or host cycling activities within their school grounds during bike week to win a free cycling skills workshop for your class or school! Tag @ClareSports on social media to be entered. Competition running from 9am Monday May 12th – 5pm Friday May 16th.
Balance Bike Workshop – Looking to help your little one gain confidence on two wheels? Join our fun balance bike workshop. Taking place in Cloughleigh from 4pm – 5pm. Register HERE.
Tuesday, May 12th
Shannon Ice-Cream Spin – Organised by Club Rothaíochta Na Sionainne. Beginning from Shannon Comprehensive School at 6.45pm. Under 18’s must be accompanied by an adult. Register HERE.
Wednesday, May 13th
Bike For Life – Looking to build confidence on the bike in a supportive, social setting? Our six-week Bike for Life course in Ennis, is the perfect place to start or improve your cycling skills. Female participants only (18+ years). Register HERE.
Killaloe Social Spin – Hosted by Ballina Killaloe Leisure Cycles. Meet at Aldi Killaloe at 7pm.
Friday, May 15th
Cliffs Cycle Event – Join Riverside Cycling Club, Ennistymon ofr this scenic event. Contact riversideccennistymon@gmail.com to book your place.
Clare County Council Park and Cycle – Clare County Council and CSP Staff are invited to park their cars at Lee’s Road, and cycle to Clare County Council offices. Free breakfast on arrival.
Saturday, May 16th
The Crotty Cup – Hosted by West Clare Cycling Club, is one of Ireland’s oldest races dating back to 1934. Racing starts at 11am Kilrush Community School. Register HERE
Sunday, May 17th
Killaloe Social Spin – Hosted by Ballina Killaloe Leisure Cycles. Meet at Aldi Killaloe at 8am.

Cycle to Work – Leave the car at home and get on your bike this Bike Week! We’re encouraging workplaces and employees to take part in our Cycle to Work initiative, and bein with a chance of winning a Sports voucher. Register HERE.
Cycle to School – Schools across Clare are encouraged to get students cycling to school, promoting healthy habits, road safety awareness, and environmentally friendly travel. All participating schools will be entered into a draw, to be in with a chance of winning one of 2 x €250 sports vouchers! Register HERE.
Primary School Art Competition – Theme: My Dream Bike. Primary school students are invited to draw or deisgn their ideal bike to be in with a chance to win some cool prizes.
