The Volunteers in Sport Awards are now open for nominations. These awards celebrate the incredible individuals who give their time, passion, and energy to support sport at all levels across the county. They recognise the invaluable contribution volunteers make to their clubs, communities, and the overall development of sport in Clare.

Capturing Girls in Sport – Docu Series!
We are continuing to seek nominations for our upcoming documentary series celebrating girls and young women in sport across Clare. This project aims to highlight athletes or groups who are excelling in their sport at any level — club, county, national, or international.
We have already received a number of fantastic submissions, but we are still looking for more to truly showcase the depth of female sporting talent in the county.

Let’s Talk About Suicide – Online Training
The HSE National Office for Suicide Prevention has launched Let’s Talk About Suicide, a free 60-minute online training programme designed to help people recognise the signs that someone may be thinking about suicide and to confidently start a supportive conversation. This is suitable for anyone over 18 who wishes to build basic suicide prevention skills.
This time of year can be difficult for many people, so it is especially important that as many club members as possible complete this training or similar programmes. You never know when you might need these skills, and they can make a significant difference.

Christmas Activities
We would love to help highlight the wonderful festive sport and community events taking place across Clare this December. If your club is organising any Christmas-themed activities — such as fun runs, sea swims, festive tournaments, or community events — please send us the details.
We are happy to share your activities with other clubs and promote them on our social media channels throughout the holiday period.
