The Community Activity Leaders Course is a free, inclusive 10-week programme designed for anyone in the local community who wants to make a positive difference through sport, physical activity, and recreation. No previous experience or leadership role is needed — all you need is an interest in helping your community and learning new skills.
The course runs once a week for 3 hours per session in Tulla or Scariff (Participant location depending). Participants will take part in a range of workshops including first aid and safeguarding, disability awareness, fundamental movement skills, practical coaching, warm-ups and cool-downs, and session planning.
By the end of the programme, learners will have the confidence, practical skills, and knowledge to support community activities, work with local clubs, and help make their community more active and inclusive. It can also be a stepping stone towards further education, training, or volunteering opportunities in the sporting world.
