When: During Bike Week (May 9th – 17th)

Where: Anywhere – your local park, greenway, countryside, or neighbourhood routes

Who: Families (all ages welcome – children must be accompanied by an adult)

Cost: Free

🌳 About the Event

The Family Nature Cycle is a fun, flexible, and family-friendly virtual cycling challenge designed to get everyone moving outdoors during Bike Week.

There’s no set route or start point, just choose your own safe and enjoyable cycle and explore nature together at your own pace.

🚴‍♂️ How It Works

• Go for a family cycle anytime during Bike Week
• Explore local green spaces, parks, or scenic routes
• Track your cycle using Strava (optional)
• Share photos of your adventure in nature e.g. Flowers, Animals🌿📸

🌼 What You’ll Need

• A working bike for each participant
• Helmets recommended for all Cyclists
• A sense of adventure!

• Promotes healthy activity and wellbeing
• Easy and flexible, no pressure, no distance targets
• Celebrate cycling in nature at your own pace

🌈 Bonus Idea (Optional Challenge)

Complete at least one of the following during your Cycle:

• Cycle through a park or greenway
• Spot 3 types of wildlife or plants
• Take a family photo in nature
• Cycle for 30+ minutes together
