The aim of Women in Sport Week is to:
- Celebrate every woman and girl who plays, coaches, officiates, volunteers, works in, and leads on Women in Sport
- Promote and highlight the ongoing work of Sport Ireland, NGBs, LSPs, and other stakeholders and clubs on Women in Sport
- Highlight some of the programmes/initiatives funded by Sport Ireland Women in Sport Programme
- Monday March 3rd – Visibility
- Tuesday March 4th – Coaching
- Wednesday March 5th – Her Moves – Teenage Girl Participation
- Thursday 6th – Officiating
- Friday 7th – Leadership & Governance
- Saturday 8th – International Women’s Day & WIS parkrun
- Sunday 9th – Active Participation
We at Clare Sports Partnership, deliver several different Women In Sport programmes and workshops throughout the year. To celebrate Women in Sport Week 2025, we have also teamed up with a number of clubs and organisations to deliver taster sessions in different venues around the county, for women and girls to try out new sports and physical activities in fun, social settings!
We encourage Clare sports clubs to get involved and celebrate all women involved in sport. If your club has something on, or wish to collaborate with us for Women in Sport week, please let us know!
