Saturday, May 4th
West Clare Cycling Club Youth Off Road Cycling
West Clare CC are hosting a youth cycling workshop on the Gallery Park Track in Kilrush, from 12pm – 2.30pm. You will have the opportunity to sharpen your cycling skills and complete the cross-country track as part of the event.
All children aged 6+ are welcome.

Saturday, May 11th
Kilrush Community Bike Ride
Take part in a FREE healthy, social and safe group ride with a trained Ride Leader around the Kilrush and its environs on 11.5km cycle with a coffee stop to finish. 9.30am – 10.30am.
Accessible to adults 18yrs+. New to cycling or experienced cyclists welcome!
West Clare Cycling Club – Crotty Cup, Kilrush
In it’s 90th year, the Crotty Cup will host four separate races on the course at the same time so if you’re not in you can’t win, The Crotty Cup, Cotter Cup, West Clare A3 Cup and the L&L Cycles Ladies Cup.
Cycling Without Age Kilrush
This is an opportunity to showcase the great work being done by volunteers who give their time to bring residents of care centres with limited mobility, around the picturesque town of Kilrush and surrounding areas, on a Trishaw to improve their health and emotional well-being.

Sunday, May 12th
Cycle4all Family Cycle
Join Burren Cycling Club for a FREE 15km family spin to celebrate National Bike Week. There will be an opportunity for parents with children with additional needs, to take part. (Parents will have to accompany any minor). Sign up on the morning, light refreshments after the event.
Beginning at 9.30am in Barefield, County Clare.
Open to all children who can cycle and all abilities, children accompanied by a parent at all times. For more information, click HERE.
Lahinch Ice-Cream Spin
Cycle from Ennistymon to Lahinch along the North Clare bike lane, stop in Lahinch for ice cream and return to Ennistymon. Beginning at 12pm. Suitable for adults 18+.
Monday, May 13th
Cycle to Work Competition
Clare Sports Partnership encourages every adult (aged 18+) in Clare to get up on their bike and cycle to work during National Bike Week. Tag @Claresports on social media to be entered into a draw to win. Prizes include 1. Dinner for two 2. One night’s Bed and breakfast in one of Clare’s stunning hotels.
Competition running from 9am Monday May 13th – 5pm Saturday May 18th.
Cycle to School
Clare Sports Partnership encourages all primary school children to cycle to school or host cycling activities within their school grounds during bike week to win a free cycling skills workshop for your class or school! Tag @ClareSports on social media to be entered.

Reintroduction course
Clare Sports Partnership is running a four-week reintroduction cycling programme. This programme will get you back on your bike and upskill you to become a confident cyclist!
Beginning at 6.30pm in Kilrush. Open to all adults 18+.
Tuesday 14th
Ennis Social Spin
Clare LSP & Clare County Council staff invite cyclists to join them on a leisurely 15km cycle during their lunchtime break, 1pm – 2pm, in Ennis.
Open to adults aged 18+.
Community Bike Swap Shop
We invite unused bikes in good working condition to be dropped off at Clare Sports Partnership offices on Tuesday evening. We will then relocate them to their new homes, where they will get the most benefit.

Learn to Cycle
Clare Sports Partnership is running a four-week couch-to-30 km programme. This programme will give you the skills and confidence for your road cycling journey!
Beginning at 6.30pm in Ennis. Open to all adults 18+.
Wednesday, May 15th
Killaloe Sunset Spin
Join this leisurely 20km cycle around the stunning Killaloe/Ballina countryside with a built-in ice cream stop to celebrate National Bike Week.
Beginning at 6.30pm from Clarisford Park, Killaloe. Open to all adults 18+.
Shannon Leisure Spin
Come and join Club Rothaíochta Na Sionnaine on a 20km leisure spin with a built in ice cream stop . Please ensure your bike and helmet are in working order . Meeting at 6.20pm at St Patrick’s Comprehensive Secondary School Car Park. Open to Adults aged 18 years and over.
Bike Repair Workshop

Inclusive Cycling

Thursday, May 16th
Off-Road Cycling
Ladies, try your hand at off road cycling in Doonbeg, taking in minor roads, bog roads and trails, you are sure to enjoy your hour on the bike from 6pm – 7pm. Open to females 18+.
Saturday, May 18th
Ennis Community Bike Ride
Take part in a healthy, social and safe group ride with a trained Ride Leader, from 9.30am – 10.30am in Ennis. Suitable for leisure cyclists.
Quin Family Cycle
Join our newest club in Clare “Quin Clooney Maghera cycling club” for a family cycle to celebrate national bike week.
They will lead a 7km cycle for young and old around the surrounding areas.

Primary School Cycling Coaching
During National Bike Week, cycling coaches will carrying out workshops in primary schools throughout the county. They will be taught all the fundamental skills of cycling and given the opportunity to practise them in their school setting.
Inclusive Cycling Programmes
