East Clare Community Activity Leaders Course
Following the success of our Community Activity Leaders course in West Clare, we are delighted to announce that we will be bringing the programme to East Clare. The course will take place over the coming months, with the exact location still to be confirmed. It will either be held in Tulla or Scariff, depending on where the majority of participants are based.
The Community Activity Leaders course is designed to give participants the skills, knowledge and confidence to take an active leadership role in their community and deliver physical activity to a variety of groups. The course includes a mixture of practical and theory-based learning and covers areas such as coach development, community engagement and sustainability, as well as Safeguarding, First Aid and Disability Awareness certification.
No previous coaching or activity leadership experience is required, making this a great opportunity for anyone who would like to become more involved in supporting physical activity within their club or community.

Safeguarding Courses
Our Safeguarding courses will return over the autumn months, with Safeguarding 1 and Safeguarding 2 courses available to book through the Clare Sports Partnership website.
We encourage clubs to make sure their members are up to date with their safeguarding requirements and to book onto a course if they are due to renew their qualification.
Funding Available for Community Physical Activity Programmes
We have a limited amount of funding available to support beginner community physical activity programmes for men, women and teenage girls over the autumn and winter months.
If your club has an idea for a programme or activity that you feel would benefit your local community and could be part-funded by Clare Sports Partnership, please get in touch Mary Taylor via email – mary@claresports.ie

Period Product Packs for Clubs
We have another round of Period Product Packs available for sports clubs. We will be prioritising clubs who have not received a pack previously, however, any club interested in receiving one is welcome to express their interest.
These packs are designed to ensure that essential period products are readily available within club environments and to help remove one of the barriers that can prevent girls and women from participating in sport.
