We held the Go For Life (active retirement ) games finals on Wednesday May 22nd in Inagh Community Centre.
In teams of 3, 45 participants competed in a number of different games:
- Malai- an adaption of Cornhole,
- Scidil- an adaption of ten pin bowling
- Flisk- an adaption of frisbee and horseshoe pitching
Teams competed from Ogonnelloe Active Retirement, Burren Active Retirement and West Clare Family Resource Centre.
West Clare Family Resource Centre covers Kilrush, Kilkee, Kilmhil, Kilimer, Cooraclare, Doonbeg, Carrigaholt and Doonaha.
Twelve people have been selected to represent Clare in the Go For Life Games National Finals to be held in Dublin on June 8th.
Well done to all our competitor’s on the day!
The event concluded with smiles, high-fives, and a sense of accomplishment, highlighting the success of the Go For Life Games County Finals.
